Connections and Vision
Founded on the principles of culture, patriotism, and honor, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has stood as a beacon of excellence and brotherhood for over a century. What began as a vision shared by ten men at Indiana University in 1911 has grown into an international organization of more than 170,000 members united by a common commitment to achievement in every field of human endeavor.
The Glendale-Peoria (AZ) Alumni Chapter embodies this rich tradition while forging its own path of service and distinction in Arizona. As part of the Western Province, our chapter connects the founding ideals of Kappa Alpha Psi with the dynamic communities we serve, bridging historical legacy with contemporary impact.
Through partnerships with fellow Arizona chapters, active participation in Western Province initiatives, and support for our undergraduate brothers, we continue building upon the foundation established over a century ago. The mission is clear. The impact is undeniable. And our commitment to excellence remains steadfast as we continue this remarkable journey of brotherhood, service, and achievement.
International Headquarters (IHQ) Overview
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was founded on January 5, 1911, at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. The Fraternity has evolved from a small group of ten founding members into an international organization with over 170,000 members and more than 700 chapters.
The International Headquarters of Kappa Alpha Psi is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, serving as the administrative center for the Fraternity's global operations. Led by the Grand Polemarch and supported by the Grand Board of Directors, IHQ oversees programs, initiatives, and policies that guide our brotherhood.
The Fraternity's foundation in achievement continues to define its mission: to unite men of culture, patriotism, and honor in a bond of fraternity; to encourage honorable achievement in every field of human endeavor; to promote the spiritual, social, intellectual, and moral welfare of members; to assist the aims and purposes of colleges and universities; and to inspire service in the public interest.
